Presuppositional Apologetic

Romans 1:18-23 “(18)For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, (19)because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. (20)For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (21)For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (22)Professing to be wise, they became fools, (23)and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.”

Everyone already knows God exists, for God has made it evident to them. Therefore, this apologetic is not a matter of proving God exists because this job has been done already by God. This is a matter of exposing the invalidity and inconsistency of their presupposition. You do not attack evidence and allow them to reason themselves to God, for they become the judge of God. This will lead them to the possibility of a god, not the certainty of the God of the Bible. You attack and expose the reality of their authority or lack thereof.

An individual who denies the Christian God is unable to know anything (Prov. 1:7). Without a source for truth (other than their reasoning and logic), they have no authority to claim what is true or false. You cannot use your own reasoning and logic to determine the veracity of your own reasoning and logic, that is circular logic and therefore, false. “In order to know anything you must know everything or been given revelation from Somebody who does know everything.”
